generator.
Seattle, WA - July 2006, Signametrics announces a significant enhancement to their popular Multi-Function
Digital Multimeter, the 7-½ digit SMX2064. They have
added a function generator capable of sourcing Pulses and Sine
waves up to 20V p-p. It can generate pulses in a burst of up
to 60,000 pulses or a continuous signal with 1us resolution.
It can also generate Sine waves from 1Hz to 200kHz with 2mHz
resolution. Along with a function generator, the SMX2064 Multimeter
features a DC & AC Voltage Generator, Current Generator,
and a Frequency Counter. This makes the SMX2064 the most versatile
Digital Multimeter available.
Wide Array of Features
The SMX2064’s wide array of features are designed for
their usefulness in the test environment. It has a built in
Leakage tester capable of sourcing +/-10V and measuring a few
pA. The MicroOhm meter function works to a fraction of a milli-Ohm
and the guarded GigaOhm meter measures up to 10 GigaOhm. Precise
1us triggering makes high reading rates (up to 20,000/second)
useful. Other features include time and frequency measurements
and an in-circuit guarding function, the type found in expensive
In-Circuit testers.
High Throughput
The Digital Multimeter’s high throughput makes it a perfect
choice for component and assembly production testing. Range
& Function changes, Capacitance and Inductance measurements
are all an order of magnitude faster then any other plug-in
Digital Multimeter or LCR Meter. Applications include ATE, Avionics,
Automotive, Semiconductors, Industrial, as well as Components
and Sensor manufacturing.
