Signametrics Precision Instruments

Additional Features

Digital Multimeters made by Signametrics have many features not existing in any other plug-in DMM, that make our instruments the most versatile available. Often our products replace several other instruments, saving customers money.

Sourcing Capabilities
Precision DC Voltage Sources, AC Voltage Sources, and Current Sources are just the beginning. Several of our DMMs feature Synthesized Resistance, a Pulse & Pattern Generator, and a Duty Cycle Generator.

Time, Frequency, and Event Measurements
Our multimeters can measure very low duty cycle signals. They also measure pulse width (percent pos/neg). There is a Totalizer/Event Counter and a variable threshold capability. One of many novel uses of our frequency capabilities is to measure DC supply dropout with the event counter.

High Speed Inductance and Capacitance Measurement
Our latest models measure inductance in under 1s and capacitance in 10us. Models by some of the other manufacturers may be fast in ideal circumstances but then turn out to be extremely slow in making real world measurements. We've seen delays of up to 30s to make a single Inductance reading.

Advanced Resistance Features
In addition to superior resolution, Signametrics latest DMM offers offset ohms, six wire guard, synthesized resistance, voltage & current limited resistance measurement, leakage measurement with variable voltage, extended resistance measurements, and eight current sources.

Additional AC Voltage Features
Signametrics DMMs also measure peak to peak, crest factor, median, frequency, and fast rms.

Circuit Measurements
Anyone doing IC testing will be interested in the Diode testing, leakage testing (with variable voltage), and semiconductor characterization measurements that can be made with Signametrics Digital Multimeters.

Triggering
Our DMMs feature external and threshold triggers, pre and post trigger data, a hardware trigger, software trigger, and delayed trigger.

Thermocouples
The Signametrics DMMs can measure temperature using thermocouples when used with a Signametrics relay switch card.

Auxiliary VDC Inputs
Our new multimeters have the capability to measure multiple voltage inputs. We can measure two separate differential voltages, or three voltages relative to the same point. This can save you the cost of buying another unit, and is handy for measuring amplifiers or load cells.
