Are Resistance Measurements Part of your Test?

If so, you need to know some not so subtle facs. Whether your application includes the measurement of low value resistance, high value resistance, or continuity, you will find the Signametrics DMMs superior.

Low Value Resistance
The sensitivity of the measurement depends on the amount of current the DMM sources. The Signametrics DMMs source more than 10 times as much current as any other plugin DMM. The effect on measurement results is quite clear.

High Value Resistance
When measuring higher value resistors, you must be mindful of test voltages. Signametrics uses industry standard Test Voltages (nothing over 3V).

Using any Signametrics DMM to measure a 1 Meg resistor will result in 1V test voltage. Would you say that 10V test voltage is a bit high? This is what other plugin DMMs on the market use. Be aware that 10V will make those products impractical for making measurements of loaded boards, and most other active devices.
